The Big Issue is teaming up with arts organisations to screen Here for Life, a thought-provoking film about hardship in London – and you could attend for free.
The film follows ten Londoners as they navigate life in a challenging and fast-changing city.
Don’t be fooled by its experimental documentary style – the stories are played out by actors from Cardboard Citizens, the theatre company by and for homeless people
That includes Uncle Errol, a spoken word artist featured in the film who says getting involved in theatre helped him break a cycle of offending and landing in prison. He will appear after the special screening for a Q&A alongside co-director Andrea Luka Zimmerman.
Fellow co-director and Cardboard Citizens founder Adrian Jackson said: “If this film tells us anything about London today, it’s that there are many unconsidered lives surviving against the odds.
