From his chaotic, cacophonous beginnings as a furious goth screamer in Aussie post-punks The Birthday Party, Nick Cave has evolved into one of today’s most respected singer-songwriters, crafting a powerful and poignant body of work with his trusty band, The Bad Seeds.
Their latest record, 2016’s Skeleton Tree, was recorded and released against a background of devastating personal tragedy for Cave. One More Time With Feeling, directed by Cave’s friend Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Killing Them Softly), is a stark, fragile and raw documentary that probes the circumstances surrounding the making of the album, and features live performances by the band in the studio.
Stunningly filmed in colour, black and white and 3D, this tremendously moving film is a must-see for music lovers.
