Win two tickets to ‘Only Human: Martin Parr’ at the National Portrait Gallery

Win two tickets to the major new exhibition, afternoon tea overlooking the sights of London, and a copy of the new book on Martin Parr

To celebrate the National Portrait Gallery’s new exhibition Only Human: Martin Parr (open until 27 May 2019), we are giving you the chance to win two tickets to the exhibition, afternoon tea for two with a celebratory feast of sandwiches, scones and fine pastries, including limitless tea, plus a copy of the exhibition catalogue, published by Phaidon.

Your prize will include:

  • Two tickets to the major new exhibition

Only Human: Martin Parr brings together works by one of Britain’s best-known and most widely celebrated photographers. Including recognisable photographs alongside works never before exhibited, it focuses on one of his most engaging subjects – people.

The exhibition includes portraits of people from around the world, with a special focus on Parr’s wry observations of Britishness, explored through a series of projects that investigate British identity today.

  • Afternoon tea overlooking the sights of London

Breathtaking by day and dramatic by night, the Portrait Restaurant’s celebrated view stretches from Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square down Whitehall to the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. Enjoy afternoon tea for two with a celebratory feast of sandwiches, scones and fine pastries, including limitless tea.

  • A copy of the new book on Martin Parr

The exhibition catalogue Only Human: Photographs by Martin Parr, published by Phaidon, examines what it means to be human at a time of both change and retrospection.

By turns witty, surprising, and ingenious, Martin Parr’s photographs reveal the eccentricities of modern life with affection and insight. Bringing together new work from the last decade, Only Human explores the concepts of Britishness and national identity through the rituals and habits of everyday life.
