Oxfam to sell first 1000 copies of electronic producer Four Tet’s new album

CD and vinyl copies of the acclaimed English electronic music producer’s ninth album New Energy are available to pre-order now via the Oxfam website

In a unique partnership between a cutting edge electronic musician and a globally renowned charity, acclaimed English producer Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet has announced that the first 1000 copies of his forthcoming new album will be sold in the UK via Oxfam.

The album, titled New Energy, is available to pre-order now via the Oxfam website on both CD and double-gatefold vinyl. Copies will also be sold in select Oxfam shops from September 29.

New Energy is the ninth album to be released by Hebden under his Four Tet moniker – you can listen to a brand new track from the album titled Scientists below.

Like the album announcement, the Oxfam partnership was announced today via an unassuming tweet.

Four Tet’s previous album Morning/ Evening was released in 2015. Since then he has remixed various artists including the xx, A$AP Rocky and Oneohtrix Point Never, and released a compilation album called Randoms. Two other tracks he has recently released – Planet and SW9 9SL – are included on the tracklist for New Energy.

Fans have been quick to praise Hebden for partnering up with Oxfam for the release of his new album.

The Big Issue Music Special featuring interviews with The Killers, Tom Morello, Pussy Riot and Rudimental is on sale from Monday, September 18.
