Brighten up the last of the winter days with Arthouse Meath

Creating a beautiful collection of homeware, this collective is formed of artists living with complex epilepsy and learning disabilities.

The mornings are getting brighter once more as winter retreats for another year to make way for spring. It’s still a little while off though so let these colourful products from ARTHOUSE Meath brighten up your home and your days!

ARTHOUSE Meath is a collective of artists living with complex epilepsy and learning disabilities. They all require varying levels of support but work alongside instructors to create stunning artworks which are developed into some of the designer products featured here!

Boasting a social and environmental impact, these 100 per cent organic cotton tablecloths are produced in collaboration with a co-operative in India. They empower rural women to earn a living by handcrafting reusable products through fair trade practices with designs created by the collective themselves.

Sitting perfectly alongside your tablecloth – a range of unique tea towels designed by members of the collective together and individually will definitely make doing the dishes a bit less dull.

At the heart of ARTHOUSE Meath is offering a sense of purpose. They believe that feeling truly respected improves health and wellbeing, and seek to challenge perceptions and create better acceptance and inclusion for all people living with disabilities.

All of their profits are invested back into the collective to help them grow, with the aim to see ARTHOUSE Meath workshops appear all over the country.

Each of their soap bars have a unique design on their packaging and complimentary ingredients. Paraben-free, and absolutely never tested on animals, this playfully captured Panda Party bar was created by a group of artists to celebrate that pandas are no long officially endangered, perfectly complimented by the uplifting fragrance of ylang ylang and patchouli.

This Awash with Art Trifle soap features artwork created by Adam Preston, who uses non verbal means of communication.

The uplifting fragrances don’t stop there. Made from organic plant wax, the ARTHOUSE Meath candles are specially designed, with no animal or paraffin-derived ingredients. Housed in a beautifully adorned glass jar, they’re completely reusable after the candle has burned and the wax has gone. Simply rinse out and you’ve got yourself a vase, tumbler or even a stylish toothbrush holder!
