Warm up this winter with NEMI teas and The Big Issue Shop

Cosy up with a cup of Chai safe in the knowledge that your drink does as much good as it does taste good

What if you could help bring a change to the world with your morning cuppa? You might think it sounds too good to be true, but NEMI Teas does just that.

The London-based company creates positive change through business by employing refugees to help them integrate better in the UK.

As well as performing commercial roles like sales and marketing or packing and distribution, they’re also employed to run tea stalls across London food markets, festivals, events and conferences which allows them to boost their English, regain confidence and give them a local referee to get them into the workforce.

But it doesn’t stop there. On the basis that good taste starts with good business, each of the premium teas is Fairtrade, meaning farmers and workers are paid a fair wage, in suitable conditions and with the necessary training.

Available in both whole leaf blends as well as loose tea and biodegradable tea pyramids, warm up this winter with a cup of their Spicy Chai, Cardamom Chai, Green Tea, Peppermint or the classic English Breakfast, all served in plastic-free, fully recyclable packaging (even the bag string and label!).

Shop NEMI Teas now at The Big Issue Shop.
