In this week’s edition you’ll find our free 24-page Big Issue Talks Money magazine. It’s packed with info, advice, tips and sources of positive support for anyone who has been impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.

We’ve worked with a wide range of experts from sectors including finance, debt, housing, employment, benefits, energy and health, including Turn2Us, StepChange, Green Doctors, National Numeracy, The Mix, ACORN, the Independent Food Aid Network and the Mental Health Foundation.

Hannah Westwater, Big Issue Talks Money writer, explained: “We hear real-life stories from people who have faced the very worst of the cost-of-living crisis – and share how they got through it – while experts reveal what they’ve witnessed on the frontline, and how they’re offering support.

“Many people who were previously just managing have been plunged into poverty, while those already living below the breadline were faced with seemingly impossible choices.
“That’s why The Big Issue has sought out the very best advice that can make a real difference.”

The magazine is supported by Experian’s United for Financial Health programme. Since 2020 we have received funding from the programme to create regular features in the magazine and online, providing support our readers and vendors through first the pandemic then the cost-of-living crisis.

We’ve also offered educational materials including a free online money education training course, how-to videos with moneysaving tips and hints, and a Financial & Digital Wellbeing training toolkit to help people get to grips with the basics. And later this year we will be hosting the first live Big Issue Talks Money Live event.
