Do you know a change maker? Send us your nominations!

We want to celebrate the local heroes and community champions doing good across the UK – and we need your help

While we can’t always depend on our political leaders to fix problems, or for them to stick around long enough to succeed, the work going on in communities across the country by unsung heroes has become more important than ever.

Every year, The Big Issue celebrates these Changemakers in a special edition gathering 100 inspirational people making the world a better place. They are thinkers, creators and campaigners, people who are not sitting by but who are grabbing challenges and trying to deal with them.

As we go into 2023, we want you to tell us who you have seen make a difference.

Do you know an organisation helping those hit hardest by the cost-of-living crisis? Have you met a campaigner educating others about the effects of the climate crisis?

Who did brilliant work in 2022 and will carry that positivity and energy forward to make 2023 even better?

We want to know who inspires you and provides a guiding light in uncertain times.

You can nominate a person or group you think deserves to be one of The Big Issue’s Changemakers for 2023.

Simply fill in the form below, providing their name, what field they’re making a differences in (housing, homelessness, environment, cost of living, health, the arts, education and more) and why you think they’re brilliant.

We’ll be gathering suggestions until early December and publishing a special edition with 100 Changemakers making a positive difference in early 2023.
