Protesters at the COP26 youth climate strike have not missed with their signs

Thousands of young people led by Greta Thunberg are marching through Glasgow for the COP26 youth climate strike.

Thousands of young activists are marching through Glasgow on Friday for the COP26 youth climate strike – and they’ve not missed the opportunity to get creative with their messages to world leaders.

The protest was organised by Fridays for Future – the movement that sees children across the world walk out of school in protest over the climate crisis.

It took off in 2018 when Greta Thunberg began standing outside the Swedish parliament with a protest sign that read: “School strike for climate”.

Both Thunberg and Ugandan activist Vanessa Nakate are due to speak at the march. And they will be met by not just thousands of protesters, but hilarious signs demanding action from governments on climate change.

Here are some of the best signs The Big Issue has seen so far.
