Over 100,000 people are watching a livestream of planes making treacherous landings at Heathrow airport during the heavy winds of Storm Eunice.
The running commentary of Big Jet TV – a channel enjoying its biggest ever live audience – is providing encouragement as passenger jets come in sideways to the UK’s biggest airport.
Millions across the country have been warned against non-essential travel as Eunice hits the UK with gusts of up to 90mph expected.
Run by aviation enthusiast Jerry Dyer, Big Jet TV regularly livestreams planes coming in to land – but the high winds of Eunice have made Dyer the breakout star of this bout of inclement weather.
Dyer’s praise for the pilots, landing huge commercial jets in the storm, has peppered the stream, along with his excited announcements of upcoming interviews.
With every successful landing, the thousands watching the stream are treated to a shout of approval and warm words for the pilot’s ability.
