“My name is Raphael and in the past I have slept rough while struggling with alcoholism as well as mental health issues. I have now sobered up and live in a supported housing project in north London. I wanted to draw a picture representing my upward journey from despair to hope. In Stonestairway I also wanted to show that anyone with a biro can create a piece of artwork.”
