Tidings of comfort and joy: Our Christmas Kids Cover Competition is open!

With Christmas on the horizon, here’s how you can get involved in The Big Issue’s Kids Cover Competition this year

The festive season is just around the corner, and here at The Big Issue that means one thing… it’s time for the annual Christmas Kids Cover Competition!

Every year, we’re blown away by hundreds of incredible artworks, with one lucky winner going on to grace the cover of our bumper festive special magazine.

Once again, we’re looking for creative children to wow us with brilliantly bright, bold, colourful pictures that will help vendors sell more magazines this winter.

This year’s theme is: comfort and joy! How do you think you could help people feel safe, warm and happy this Christmas? What makes you feel that way? Is it your family or friends? Christmas traditions?

Whatever it is, get out your pens, pencils, paints or graphic design software and make us a cover that will spread some comfort and joy across Britain through this Christmas. Please use an A4 or an A3 sheet and make sure the drawing is portrait not landscape (ie the drawing is tall rather than wide). Make sure to include THE BIG ISSUE on the cover and send to us by November 25.

“I look forward to bundles of Christmas magic coming our way in the next few weeks,” said Paul McNamee, The Big Issue’s merry editor. “Every year, we’re inspired by your imaginative artwork, and our vendors love selling the magazine with the winning kids cover.
